Asia's green transition has attracted substantial investment in the recent years. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), renewable energy investment in Asia accounted for more than half of the global total in 2020 – 2021 and rose to nearly 70% of the global total in 2022. In contrast, Europe and North America collectively received just about 24% of the total investment in the same year.
